The kit itself weighs 10 LBs. The base of the sign holder has two built-in ballast ports that are able to accept water, sand, or gravel. The ballast port has a capacity of 2.5 gallons, adding an extra 19-21 LBs of weight.

DO NOT ORDER THIS

I ordered this base for an event that we are having and assembled it today. Once I filled the base with water as instructed, I discovered a substantial leak in the seam inside where the post goes. In less than a half hour, over a gallon of water had leaked out all over our floor! I tried to initiate a contact to the seller, which can take up to two days, and then I have to bring this to UPS to send it back. This will also leave me without the base to use at my event that is in a couple of days. SO UPSET!!
