If you're wondering the difference between silk and satin, Silk is a fiber, whereas satin is the weave. Most silk pillowcases are both silk and satin, but you can find satin pillowcases made of polyester for a lower price. Mulberry is the highest quality of silk you can find. - Good Housekeeping. Pure silk fabric is made from silk worms whereas polyester is a synthetic. The benefits mentioned in this product are false. Only pure Silk can claim those attributes.

Satin is a weave not a fabric. All these people complaining that it’s not satin, it is. Satin can be made of rayon, or polyester, silk blends, or nylon.
