Decent product, works well and puppy doesn't seem to mind
I have used this product for all but one of my puppy's trips in the car over the last several weeks. It appears as shown in the picture, and works pretty well to attach his walking harness to the car seat belt. The carabiner is huge, so sometimes it takes a little effort to get it at the right angle to fit in the D-ring of the harness (size small). I don't think that that will be a problem after I size up the harness as he grows. The pup has taken well to the harness and waits for me to clip it onto him and doesn't seem distressed by it or try to chew on it (though he did wiggle around and get a little wrapped in it for the first few rides).I haven't been in an accident while this has been in use, but it does a good job of securing the puppy in the backseat where he can keep out of trouble and not distract the driver. Its also nice and simple and seems easy enough to transfer to a different car if needed.

Very good quality
I love this seatbelt! Its so easy to use and is the perfect length on the shortest setting for my 6 month old French Bulldog puppy. The only con is that the carabiner is huge (but it would be great for dogs that are heavy pullers or just bigger dogs in general, feels heavy duty for holding up in case of an accident). Because of this, it will not fit through the small clips of my dog's harness (size medium harness). But I fixed it pretty easily by attaching a small carabiner to the large one, and just connect the small carabiner to her harness.

Great seatbelt option for several implementations
So I have four of these used in different implementations so clearly I like them and trust them for my fur babies as well as those belonging to other humans I know. I'll list them below for context then the Pros and Cons as I see it. It got 4 out of 5 stars mainly due to price point. I've seen this as low as $8.99 but most often $9.99 to $12.99 in U.S. dollars. Since it often requires buying additional aluminum caribeaners, you wind up paying roughly $15 to $20 for each seat belt. Remember, you need climbing or industrial usage metal as it has to hold in an accident so those aren't cheap either. My four are used as follows:1. As a second seatbelt used for an elevated, small dog car seat also made by Solvit. The black squared off, O-shaped caribeaner that comes with this pet seat belt connects to the car's seatbelt. A smaller aluminum caribeaner is added to the other end to attach to a harness for small dogs (6.5 to 10 lb.) that I transport regularly. Two of these dog seatbelts are used this way in two different cars.2. The second implementation is as a seatbelt attached to a rectangle sized milkcrate bicycle seat I created for my Chiweenie (1/2 Dachshund & 1/2 Chihuahua). She has typical neck/spine and knee issues related to both her breeds. This bike seat seat is mounted to a rear luggage rack which allows her to lay or sit depending on how she feels while keeping her from being able to jump out. It is cynched to its shortest length here.3. The thrid implementation is as a seatbelt for a handlebar bicycle basket modified to a dog seat. This mounting is more creative and adjusts for two different dogs and sizes. This seatbelt either attaches to the handlebar behind the basket with the squared-off O-shaped caribeaner or attaches to the basket itself near the handle hinge with an aluminum S-shaped caribeaner. For both of these attachements an aluminum caribeaner is used to attach to the dog's harness.---------------------------------------------------------------An observation, the included caribeaner is too heavy and bulky for use with dogs' harness for dogs under 10-lbs. The dog feels the weight in my observation. Not at all an issue for dogs 20-lbs and over. That 10 to 15 lb range I haven't really had the chance to observe.PROs1. Attaches easily regardless of your need.2. Adjustable length to accomodate dogs from a Rotty (80-90-lbs) to a Pomeranian (6.5-lbs) when used with a car seatbelt as designed.3. Quality construction and sewing on teh balistic nylon strap.CONS1. Spendy/ Costly for what it is - $8.99 to 9.99 when I bought mine. Competitor's are cheaper but didn't work for my usages.2. The original design is to pull the seatbelt through the balistic nylon loop while using the black caribeaner to attach to the dog's harness (not a collar - see safety recommendations by the company). Unfortunately, if you are using a car seat, you cannot use it this way as the car's seatbelt isn't in the proper orientation to feed through the pet seatbelt and the dog seat securely. As a result, they really should include a second caribeaner at least given the cost of this item.

Keeps your baby safe!
This has been a great purchase. I also bought a harness specifically for the car, and attached that to this. My dog loves to sit in the passenger seat, but before having this, if I ever had to hit the brakes, she would go flying and I would end up screaming profanity at the idiot who cut me off, because no one messes with my baby girl (my dog) if anything ever happened to her, I'd prob end up in jail. This gives me peace of mind, knowing she is safe. She doesn't mind it either. Actually she knows as soon as we get in the car. She waits for me to Buckle her up for safety.Best purchase. I would recommend getting a harness, instead of just attaching it to a collar.

Great product but could be longer
I just wish it was a tiny bit longer. I know the whole point is to restrict the dog but at some point he needs to have enough room to lay down while in the car. Also be careful because the carabiner does not fit into all the loops of a dogs harness. My Pooch is a thick 27 Lbs and he is still a bit restricted by the seatbelt. Overall, good quality and well made, just wish it was longer.

Works great, makes car rides much easier.
This works perfectly for my dog in the car. I loop it around the headrest and then through her harness strap. The length allows her to stick her head out the window a bit or lay down without worrying about her ending up on my lap or out the window. :) My dog is a medium sized terrier mix around 35 pounds. Also, I find this strap works much better than inserting the seatbelt through the harness, as she always managed to get all tangled up that way. Because this strap is attached above her head and to her back, she is able to turn around and change positions easily.
