Slows down a leak, buys some time.
My '68 Cadillac's Power Steering BOX started leaking and I didn't want to spend time or $$$ on getting it replaced. Not yet.I figured this could buy me some time. Sure enough, the leak has slowed down quite a bit. I've driven a pretty fair amount miles (over a 100) w/out draining the pump and having to fully refill. For the price, it does what I need. I'll get the box repaired later this year...or...maybe later. Now, this Cadillac isn't a daily driver and it will all depend on how much you drive and how bad your leak really is.No, it won't repair a pressure hose or a crack in the pump etc. I believe it's good for expanding dried out, worn seals and it's thickness helps with "slowing down" the drain out of those seals.

Useless After Two Bottles; Had to Use a Different Brand
This power steering fluid did not work for my Toyota at all even after two bottles as suggested by a reviewer. I ended having to get Lucus and Valvoline, and they worked really well with less than a bottle each. If your steering is stiff and difficult to turn your wheel, get Lucus non leak, which is thick and then add Valvoline non leak, which is less thick, and steering will ease immediately. This brand was new to me and expensive for a small bottle. It was disappointing to use this fluid which is not thick at all and did nothing to the stiff steering. A reviewer said to use two bottles, which is what I did and it was useless. Do not waste your money. You know when a fluid works or not if your steering is stiff. This definitely did not work for my Toyota.
