Great for hard water, dishes come out clean, no smells or spots

our water is so very hard, leaving white spots and grit on everything. Started using Amaze a couple years ago, now won't use anything else. Dishes are clean, spot free and no grit.

I bought this after reading reviews that said it worked as well or better than adding citric acid to regular dishwasher detergent. Which was what I had been doing prior. I had never dealt with extreme hard water like I have now and tried all the additives. I found adding a tablespoon of citric acid to regular dishwasher detergent (pods, liquid or powder) got rid of the white chalky film and made my silverware and glasses shiny again. But I saw this and thought it could save me time and money. It works ok. But still leaves a very slight dullness to everything. If I use the citric acid with it it's perfect. But if I'm going to do that I may as well buy less expensive detergent.

I have been battling with hard well water issues in my dishwasher and washing machine for years. Expensive whole-house filters and two brand new water softener systems did not help. The only thing that did was, adding Sodium Tripolyphosphate in with the dishwasher and laundry detergents. Stpp was the only thing that worked to get my family's clothes and dishes clean. So, when I found Amaze Dishwasher tabs on Amazon and read the reviews, my first thought was just another dishwasher detergent that won't do any better without the help of stpp than anything else I've tried. Boy, was I so wrong! Happy I did decide to give it a try, because let me tell you, to my surprise this stuff worked without any help whatsoever. The dishes were actually clean. No spots, cloudiness, or film. I was so impressed, I gave my friend, who also deals with hard, smelly, well water issues, a few to try, and now she plans on ordering a bag. I do not know where this dishwasher detergent has been hiding, but now that I found it, and as long as Amazon continues to sell it, I will continue to buy. Forget useless Lemi Shine, and overpriced mediocre Cascade and Finish, which I have all tried, this Amaze truly does work without the help of any boosters or pre-rinsing, or having to run the dishwasher twice. I use only one tablet, and nothing more, and amazingly my dishes are clean. Light, medium, or heavy wash, the results are always the same; Clean, spotless dishes. Now, if only I could find a laundry detergent that works as well on my laundry as Amaze does on my dishes, I would be one happy lady.

Works great with the hard water we have. I do not smell a strong chemical smell with these tabs.

So we don’t have extremely hard water but after 30 years of somewhat hard water our dishes (previously my grandparents’) had a film on them that wouldn’t seem to wash off. I had cleaned them with a vinegar soak and scrub and that helped but then I changed to this detergent. The glasses that have gone through regularly have really cleared up and are nice and shiny. I still need to rotate through a couple of the sets of glasses. I don’t know if I need to change the settings on my dishwasher, make sure they are cleaner going in, or switch detergents but often I’ll still have dishes come out with baked on food. I was having this with cascade complete (whatever the best one was) and also dealing with hard water residue so I switched to give this a try. Oh I’ll also say that the one time I used this without removing the package I opened the dishwasher to find the tablet (and wrapper) mostly intact. And I have a year old, higher level GE dishwasher. (I also had this a few times with the cascade pods which is another reason I switched) but after that I started opening the wrapper and just tossing it into the bottom and I haven’t had the problem of it not dissolving since. I have cleaned my filters, cleaned the washer with cleaning tabs and switched detergents. The only thing I have left to do is change washer settings. If that doesn’t work I may have to switch detergents again ... I’m really tired of having baked/washed on food on my clean dishes.

UPDATED: I went from 1 star to 5 star. This company stands behind their product and personally took time out of their day to reach out to me to give me ideas on how to make this work for us. They truly stand behind their product and are looking for ways to improve their product. I am going to try their suggestions and am happy to of been contacted by them. I will update again if I find their ideas work best for our situation, either way they deserve 10 stars for reaching out to try to make it right and are willing to do what they can to improve the experience of using these pods. Unfortunately these aren’t working for us. We have hard city water so everything we have tried have not cleaned our dishes. I bought these because of the reviews and am highly disappointed unfortunately. These not only don’t clean the dishes but there is a powder residue on my dishes, the dishes don’t come out clean at all. I have tried using anywhere from 1 pod to 3 pods at 1 time to see if quantity would make a difference and unfortunately it doesn’t. These just don’t work. Won’t be buying these again unfortunately and still on the search for the right detergent to get our dishes clean

We got a new, 18", portable dishwasher a few months ago. It is great. But I started out using Cascade and, while it cleaned really well, the scent was so strong it made me sick and it left a sudsy residue, even with a rinse aid. It also left spots on my dishes even though it wasn't supposed to. So, I started on a search for a soap I could live with. Amaze is that soap! It does not leave any residue to build up or suds up on my dishes. I don't need to rinse them in the sink after washing them. I still use a rinse aid on the lowest setting, but that's because my dishwasher doesn't have a drying element and needs a little help with that. Even though it's not shown, the tablets come in a cardboard box rather than a bag, and for conservation, that's wonderful. I just hope they keep selling them in the box.
