Fit and quality appear to be identical to OEM - perfect fit for 6.2L engine
This was a replacement thermostate for a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe with the 6.2L v-8. Compared to the OEM thermostat, I could not see any differences. The quality of the housing (plastic) is as good as OEM, and the fit/finish is identical to OEM as well. There no leaks after installing the part, and now my engine reads the correct temperature, just as it did before the OEM thermostat failed. Hopefully this one lasts as long as the original OEM part (100K miles).

OE fit and finish, simple swap
OE fit and finish. Extremely simple swap on these for the 2017 5.3 v8. Slide breathe overflow hose clamp off and pull off of top (pro move, stick it in the reservoir), remove the upper radiator hose clamp and slide it off (you will lose some coolant this way, have some top off/mix for after), remove the 3 10mm bolts, remove previous thermostat assembly, plop the new one in, and then reassemble in reverse. Once all hoses are clamped and everything is tight, start the vehicle, run the heater at max until operating temp, top off coolant. Done.

Needed one for my 2018 silverado and didn't want to pay 300 bucks for one so I tried this and had it in my truck for over 8 months now and it's worth buying

I figured i needed a new thermostat because my truck warmed up so slowly. Turns out the rubber O-ring had pulled out on the factory thermostat and it wasn't sealing anymore. This did the trick. Warms up WAY faster and runs at 207°F.

Fits my 2017 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L perfectly. No leaks, warms up as it should now.
