Worth it if you need to cut fiber back.
I was hesitant on purchasing this as the price seemed a little steep. I needed something to strip back some heavy fiber I was working with. These were perfect for the job. It cut the outer shield back.

Works, should come with more blades
This works just fine but given that it's a specialty tool it'd be nice if it came with extra blades. They are available but they're tiny, I'm sure they don't cost much, just include a pack of blades.

Save time and mess.
Good product. Saved me lots of time and fingers getting cut when preparing fiber optic enclosures. Also much easier to clean up mess after stripping out like 12 drops at the same enclosure. No little jacket bits to hunt down like you have when useing just a hook blade. No worries about damageing the drop fibers or tube with this tool wish I had gotten this sooner.

I'm currently using this for stripping the outer jacket of fibre optic aerial, and burial drop lines. It cuts the outer jacket away very easily which is probably not surprising becuase the blades in it are fresh. I'm sure somewhere down the line I will have to replace the cutting blades on it but for now it works like a dream.

Not really impressed. The blade goes dull quite fast. Mine stopped working after the 30-40 cables. Paying that amount of money you would expect something that lasts for a while. I know you can replace the blade, which is an extra headache... Plastic feels cheap, it squeaks all the time I am opening it. I think I'll go for a Chinese version next time.
