Master Precise Eyeliner

Easy to apply and stays all day. The tip allows precise lines, and the color is rich and bold.

I have worn eyeliner for about 50 years, and each type of eyeliner brings slightly different results. My two preferred eyeliners are a soft Kohl pencil, and the liquid liners. Personally, I prefer this liquid felt tip applicator rather than a brush because sometimes a brush has bristles that bend a little out of shape and mess up my eyeliner lines. This Maybelline soft felt tip delivers precise thinner lines, without any skipping or cracking. Furthermore, it’s easy to apply right along my lashes without having a gaping space that some brushes and eyeliner pencils sometimes allow. When the pencil eyeliner leaves an empty space, I have to rub the pencil lead repeatedly across my eyelid, which tends to loosen my lashes, and then a lash or two falls out. This liquid eyeliner is matte black color and the felt tip delivers precise thin lines, there is no skipping, and no cracking either. If I want a thicker line, I just reapply above the original line and since this has a fine tip, it’s easy to apply and it glides on smoothly right along my lashes and without a space between my lashes and the bottom part of my eyelid. I love that this eyeliner is fast drying, and it does last most of the day. Occasionally, for one reason or another, I will inadvertently rub my eyes, and when I rub them the eyeliner made fade a bit, but it never smears which would result in the ugly ‘raccoon eyes’. Although this eyeliner is not ‘water-proof’, I consider it to be ‘water-resistant’, if I’m accidently splashed, or if I sneeze and my eyes start to water, a gentle dab to dry my eyes will leave the liner intact, and it does NOT smear or run into my eyes. Furthermore, I have never experienced any ‘eye sting’ the way I have received with other liquid liners. In addition, this is one of the easiest eyeliners to wash off and I don’t have to rub hard to remove it. Another advantage is that this eyeliner is ‘free-flowing’. Therefore, I never need to shake the bottle, to get the liquid on the applicator. The only application that I cannot receive is the ‘smudgy’ evening look; however, if I apply my soft Kohl pencil over the eyeliner I will get that desired appearance.

For the price, its hard to find a much better liner. If they can just make the tip a little thinner, it would be perfect. This is a great marker type eyeliner. Great even compared to the more expensive ones. I got mine from Amazon for $5. It's a steal. There are a couple of things to note: 1. Very pigmented and very black with just one swipe 2. When the liner is dried, there is a bit of a sheen and tackiness. I like to go over it with black or dark eye shadow to set and/or blend out the edges 3. This formula is not waterproof. I prefer non waterproof and don't have any problems wearing all day. Stays put even when I mist my entire face to set my makeup. Just don't rub it 4. Gives precise application. Easier to apply if you pull your lids taught. Pen style liner gives great control 5. Tip is bigger than some more high end brands. It's ok because I usually draw my lines medium to thick. However, it's not easy to do a very thin line with this pen and I can't really do a very thin wing at all without going back and fixing things with a moist cotton swab. I usually use a different liner when I want a very thin line 6. No eye irritation even when it gets in my eyes

I bought this product for my sister, who has a very difficult time applying eyeliner. She has a very unsteady hand and this weird twitchy-eyed technique when it comes to applying liner. We watch a ton of youtube beauty tutorials and she likes to read blogs, and she thought that this sort of felt tip pen would be best for her. It definitely was. She still tried to do her weird technique, but this time she was much more successful than she's ever been. It's very easy to get a nice fine line with this product and also have it come out straight. You can also lay the pen tip horizontally across the eye and lightly dab to get the product as close to the lash line as possible. The pen seems to be fairly sizable and I assume that the product will last quite a while but not too long. My sister and I frequently forget to throw out old makeup and having the perfect amount of product is important. This is definitely enough to make it a good deal without being so much that you'll have to throw it out before the pen is done. The formula is great. I've had eyeliners in the past that will skip or bead up along the line I had just drawn, but this covers everything in one perfect even coat. As with any other liner, this can and will smudge if you touch it, but I've noticed significantly less smudging with this product than many of the others I've tried. Even my sister, who touches her eyes all the time, was able to keep this on for a full day with no major disasters. Overall I think it's great. Especially for a beginner like my sister. If you're new to the game or just can't seem to figure out how to make a nice cat eye, then this is probably the product for you.

This has become my favorite eyeliner! The brush point is so precise and makes it incredibly easy to make a perfect winged line. I have tried crayon, liquid, and gel liners - and this liquid brush liner is the best I've ever tried! I've always been terrible at doing top eyeliner and I used to wind up pulling my eye so that the skin was taught and easy to draw on but that can cause wrinkles and honestly the liner still didn't look good. This eyeliner goes on smoothly and thick without having to pull your eye at all! The color is a perfect dark black, and the brush allows it to glide on evenly and easily into a perfect line. It will smudge if you rub it too much, but otherwise it stays on all day long! Compared to the $20 gel liners I have bought, this is a steal in both quality and price! It's definitely worth the buy!

I don’t know what some people are talking about when they say this liner isn’t black enough. How black do you want it to be?! I have had other liners that’s dried more gray then black, and this one is definitely not like that at all! It’s a true black and stays that way. I have sensitive dry skin, so I don’t have an issue with staying power or smudging, unless I physically try to rub my eyes. It lasts all day and looks great. So far so good. I’m not sure how long it will last but I really like it and would reccomend it. I like that the design is thin too as it fits into my everyday clutch without taking up space with an awkward bottle shape.

I have been using this eyeliner for years. It does a beautiful job. I was never able to apply eyeliner before using this product. It is very easy to use and long lasting. I love it and would highly recommend!
