Works much better than the OEM motors
I bought this motor for the passenger side window on my 4th gen Trans Am. The old motor was very slow from when the car was new and eventually would only move the window in small steps, the problem becoming worse in hot weather. Due to some helpful tips on the Internet, it was surprisingly easy to fit this new motor. The window then moved as quickly as the driver's side. Somewhat unexpectedly, during some very hot weather, the driver's side motor failed in the same way a week later. Replaced it with another ACDelco motor and now they both work perfectly. I did not use the nuts and bolts provided in the kit as they would have been very fiddly to install with the regulator still inside the door. I was lazy and just used 3/16" pop rivets which seem to work perfectly.

Works Well
I got this for the drivers side door on my 1998 Camaro. The car has 100k miles on it and had the signs of a failing motor. It would go up and down, then just die. If I let it sit for a minute it would work again great, then die. So I figured it's either the motor or switch. I decided to replace both. The switch came first, didn't cure it, must be the motor. Following instructions on the internet, I drilled out the old motors rivets, unhooked the wire, and removed. This motor comes with new nuts and bolts, so using the same holes, I installed this one. The wires were hooked up, and presto, it worked. This motor is slightly louder, but at least my window works. It isn't crazy loud though. Overall a nice product and a great price. Enjoy!

1995 Z28, OEM FIT, Works perfect on both sides.
Worked great on my 95 Z28, had to replace the driver side 4 years ago then the passenger side a week ago. This is pretty much an OEM fit, both sides use the same unit. The only tricky part is drilling out the mounting rivets on the old motor.

Easy up and down
This is a perfect mount, low noise window motor. The only challenge is, you have to be patient inserting the nuts and bolts in the back of the motor. The last one I had lasted about 4 years and I had to change it because of the gear. Yes! I would recommend this product.

Good quality product, very satisfied
I decided to spend a little more and make this a one-time replacement on my driver-side Chevy Astro window. The old motor had finally failed with the window down a couple inches--it was definitely time to replace this motor! I had some help from the same mechanic who had rolled the window down while doing another repair (Doh!), and he said it was not the switch, and that the regulator rarely failed on this model. I recommend that you watch a video on YouTube on how to do it, but this repair is relatively straight-forward. On my 1998 model, the motor had been replaced before, so I was just updating someone else's work. Thus I did not have to drill out any rivets. The motor came supplied with 4 8-32 machine screws with star washers and nuts. However, getting behind the bracket with nuts is quite a difficult trick. Instead, I endorse a tip I found on one of the videos--use #10 self tapping (sheet metal) screws, 1/2" length, preferably with a hex head. Use an impact driver to install them. They are a tight fit in the motor mount holes, but the impact driver makes short work of that, and they pull up nice and tight on the regulator bracket (go easy, don't over-torque them). Be careful not to drill out the regulator holes too much when removing the rivets; the holes must be smaller than 0.190 so the screws can cut some thread. The motor shaft extends beyond the gear a bit--seat that in the hole in the regulator, then rotate it until the hole pattern lines up, and install the four fasteners. On the Astro van, all I needed were the "GM Door Panel Clip". The other suggested panel faster was not needed, and it may be an alternate type that does the same job. You may not even need to replace any of these, if you remove the door carefully. GM Door Panel Clip (Qty: 25) Gripper Box # 2191T by PDQ I do not detect any excessive noise with this motor, it just sounds like a window motor to me. I liked seeing that there is some thermal protection built into the assembly, given the repair history on this window. Once the window is up, the motor cuts off nicely, does not appear to strain at the end at all. It just closes tight and shuts off, without any special adjustment required. Perfect.

broke in 1 day
I installed this window motor myself. I've owned 3 chevy astros and have changed one or two window motors on each of 3 vans. It went up and down 2-3 times and then stopped. You can hear it click in the motor each time you press the open or close button but doesn't move anymore. Total piece of junk. Lessons learned. Buy from local auto parts store where you can take it back.

Perfect replacement
Replacement for drivers side front window for 2001 GMC Safari van. Installed without a problem using youtube videos for guidance. Works fine, smooth operation, no excessive noise. Seems to be as good as original. Check back in 14 years to see if durability is as good as original. 10/26/20 update. Motor is still working fine after 5 years, but also have to admit that I don't drive this vehicle too much anymore (maybe 4,000 miles a year). At this point, it looks like this part will outlast the vehicle itself!

Works well
Existing motor started giving me fits, so installed another GM motor. It's in a 98 Chevy, and I think it was last replaced over a decade ago. Noticeable speed increase... if only Chevy didn't mount them & the regulator to fiberglass on the inside of the door.
