Amazing, GF, and tastes very similar to restaurant pho
This is my favorite instant pho, and I've tried many. I am gluten-free and this one is too, which is awesome. It tastes so similar to restaurant pho so makes for a quick and easy weeknight meal. I grab the GF chicken meatballs from the big bulk retailer that starts with a "C" when they're on sale, add in some of the GF millet/ brown rice noodles cooked separately, and then add halved meatballs to simmering broth with whatever add ins I have on hand like thinly sliced mushrooms, jalapenos, watercress, Bok choy, etc., and finish with some frozen peas and fresh sprouts, chives or green onions, and/or dried chives if in a pinch. It's so good! I always add grassfed beef gelatin early on when the broth is still cold to make it more nutritious and pho-like. It's great with thinly sliced beef or chicken too but I'm more likely to use that on a weekend rather than for a quick weekday meal. I make at least once per month in the cooler months. It's extra delish with some gochujang in my bowl too. My only complaint is that it's the slightest bit too sweet -- not overly, but just a bit, so I cut the sweetness with some extra spice (jalapenos and gochujang) and then it's perfect.

It's got that star anise kick
Anyone that's ever made pho knows about the spice. It's got that sweet/spice taste that cannot be mistaken.I got it to spice up ramen noodles. With the beef ones, it's a great poor man's pho.One customer said you have to use a lot. I beg to differ. I used 3 heaping tablespoons and it was way too much, for a double size bowl of ramen. You get enough to probably fill the average tavern beer stein.

Great taste, but one serving is almost 100% of your dail sodium requirements. I will buy it again.
Harvest 2000 Vietnamese Pho BrothI had my doubts, and was wonderfully surprised at how well this broth tastes. However, one serving is almost 100% of you daily sodium requirements so you may want to be careful if you have issues with high blood pressure. Always check the label.

Good shortcut pho
I was unsure how to rate this the first time I tried it. It felt bland? But I've realized it's a decent substitute if you doctor it up a bit. 2nd time, I threw a chicken leg from my rotisserie chicken in the water while it came to a boil, added a dash of cinnamon, and some coconut sugar because I like my pho sweeter with more cinnamon notes. I also added more of the broth powder than is suggested and that made a big difference. In my bowl I drizzled some chili oil. Came out so much better even without lime, sprouts, cilantro or basil, or thinly sliced beef etc. I was out of all the things 😂 Other pluses: it's a good size, gluten free, isn't super salty, not spicy so you can adjust that with your add-ins. Side note: I think this pho powder would also big great to throw in with a pot roast or in a rub.

Good Start, Use More Than Directed
1 tsp per 8 oz is too weak. Somewhere between 2 to 3 tsp is the right amount, depending on your taste. I use a tbps (3 tsp) instead and it’s right for me. Broth is a good base but tastes like it’s missing something. Here’s what I’ve found that works good for a restaurant quality single serving bowl of pho:4 cups water4 tbps Vietnamese Pho broth1 tbps Worcestershire sauce1 tbps sesame oil1/2 tsp onion powderThen I use hoisin and siracha to taste (a few tbps of each). Sometimes I put sczchuan sauce in it if I feel like it, not true authentic flavor but I like it. Then use all the normal bean sprout, cilantro and jalapeno fixings. Good stuff

Very faint beef flavor, heavy allspice flavor.
The broth powder is easy to use. But I feel it takes a bit more to get a non watered down flavor. The flavor is not as a strong beefy broth as I had expected. It is a very light beef broth flavor with a very heavy allspice flavor that way overpowers any beef flavor. Nothing special. Really a regular beef bouillon cube with a sprinkle of allspice would be just as good or maybe better. A lot cheaper too. But it’s a big can, it’ll last awhile. I think I’ll just use it as directed and add a small beef bouillon cube to each bowl of broth I make. I just really wish it had more beef flavor on its own.

Delicious and convenient
Great value and flavor. I’ve had stomach problems for almost a year where I can’t keep much down. While I’ve lived on homemade broth and soups, since it’s the only thing I can eat, having a quick way to fix up a bowl is invaluable. I add this powder to make variations of pho or just sip plain. I’ve bought this 3 times now, and will continue to do so.
