Its mix of quirky humor, surrealism, and heart has won over fans of all ages. And now, with the release of the complete series on DVD, you can experience the entire journey of Finn and Jake from start to finish. The show follows the adventures of Finn, a young boy and his best friend Jake, a magical dog with shape-shifting abilities, as they explore the Land of Ooo and battle evil forces. Along the way, they meet a cast of colorful and bizarre characters, including Princess Bubblegum, the Ice King, Marceline the Vampire Queen, and many more. The animation style is unique and charming, with bright colors and a hand-drawn look that adds to the show's whimsy. The voice acting is top-notch, with a talented cast that includes John DiMaggio as Jake, Jeremy Shada as Finn, and Olivia Olson as Marceline. But what really sets Adventure Time apart is its emotional depth. The show deals with themes of love, loss, and friendship in a way that's both relatable and poignant. It's a show that can make you laugh one minute and tear up the next. The DVD collection includes all ten seasons of the show, as well as the special finale episode, "Come Along With Me." So come along with Finn and Jake, and see what wonders await you in the Land of Ooo. Review: Arrived in good condition and good time - Arrived in clean, intact shrink wrap. The box is quality cardstock, and the case the discs are in is like a book! A really nice book! All discs are present with none missing or duplicated. I have not checked the individual playback of each disc yet. One thing to be careful of is that the discs are stored between 'pages' that are like sleeves- and I think that's responsible for the fact my discs are a little scuffed. Not very much, it's an amount that I've never seen be much of a problem on previous sets of DVDs, but I'd be concerned about removing and replacing the discs into the 'pages' too often. Because of this, I bought a set of "Maxtek 100 Pieces Clear Transparent CPP Plastic CD DVD Sleeves Envelope Holder, 100 Micron Thickness", also on desertcart, and have placed each disc into one of these plastic sleeves, then back into the boxset 'pages'. I needed to fold the corners as in my pictures in order for the plastic sleeve to be closer to the size of the disc, but then they can be slid right back into the boxset without having to worry about added scuffs when removing them later. All in all, this is a very nice quality full series collection that also just looks very neat. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about buying- just make sure to inspect the discs when you get it, and maybe invest in plastic sleeves to protect them.

What a cool design! Its shaped like the enchiridion and has the discs in the pages, one of the coolest box sets I own!

Rad.
What can I say. Super cool box set. Great gift for kids or anyone who's even remotely rad.

Absolutely perfect
This is perhaps one of the best complete series box sets I’ve purchased. I already liked adventure time previously to purchase so I knew what to expect from the series. This box set however blew my expectations away. The dvds are packaged as if they are pages in a book making the display really look cool. In addition each page has its own special artwork that looks sweet. As for content this contains every episode of adventure time including its Minecraft special, and other specials spread about the various disks. The only thing missing from the collection is the distant lands episodes however I’ll give that a pass as I believe they didn’t exist until after this dvds creation and also they technically are a separate series. If you like adventure time this is a great way to physically own it

Beautiful package design, some limits of DVD format evident
Word to the wise: it is worthwhile to buy from a reputable seller such as Amazon over someone you don't know on an auction site. This is my second purchase of this set, and the first, from an auction site, appears to be an elaborate bootleg, with a flat image in the center of the book instead of the wonderful pop-up, and single-layer DVDs with lower quality encoding. Amazon, however, provided me with the real deal, well worth the price difference. Still, I wish this much creativity and care had gone into making a Blu-Ray package, as the DVDs inevitably suffer from the limitations of the downright ancient MPEG2 standard of encoding for DVDs, even when the best of care is taken, as it was here. These are all progressive (non-interlaced) discs with anamorphic wide screen (as opposed to "letter boxed"), which uses the full video frame encoded to be displayed at the desired 16:9 aspect ratio. The remaining problem, for me at least, is with haloing artifacts around the many narrow black lines between areas of solid color, as is common with this style of animation. Once noticed, they can be hard to ignore for some. The problem isn't with the pixel resolution, but rather the compression codec. My only other nitpick is that, while content of the bonus disc is wonderful, a lot of work went into bonus materials on the old single-disc collections that I wish had been carried over to this set.

Beautiful series, beautiful set!
Adventure Time isn't for everyone, but for some people, it speaks to something deep inside of us that remembers what it was like to be a kid, and what it was like to grow up. And maybe you don't realize it while you're struggling through your own coming of age, but in the end, you come to the understanding that that child from so long ago is still a part of you, that you're not really different, you're just MORE. There's a lot I could say about this series, but I think that's the main thing that struck me: it's better than any other story I've seen at making me feel nostalgic, and has reminded me of games I forgot I'd played, and brought back feelings I forgot I ever had. If you and your inner child are still on speaking terms, I can't recommend Adventure Time highly enough. (Please note that the story gets older as the characters do, and later seasons may not be appropriate for younger viewers, though it never exceeds TV-PG, so use your best judgement. Really, it feels like this show was made without a target audience in mind, and is just a lengthy expression of the writers' and artists' own hopes and imaginations.) The box set is DVD only, no Blu-Ray, as all the one-star reviews will tell you very loudly. But let's be honest, the drawings are mostly basic shapes, so even with my big ol' high-def TV and my fancy Blu-Ray player, the picture quality is great. If this was on Blu-Ray instead, I really don't think I'd notice a difference. I was blown away by the charm of the package, though! The set is designed like a book (a reference to the Enchiridion from the series), with gorgeous art on each page, and fun text written as a "how-to" for heroes, but relevant to one of the episodes that appear on whatever disk you've flipped to. There's even a pop-up page in the middle, with a lovely view of the land of Ooo. I'd add pictures, but I'm struggling with uploading them right now. I'll see if I can add them later. For now, if you love the show, consider treating yourself to this boxed set!

Do not buy if seller is ABookEmporium.
This was advertised as the limited edition collection of the series, which comes in a book-like format with pages including a short story, a list of episodes per disc and beautiful artwork of the series. What I received from ABookEmporium has a hard cardboard cover like the actual limited edition, but the discs are in a plastic case instead! No story, no episode list, no art, just a plastic box with all the discs and that in a cardboard cover that makes it LOOK like you’re getting the real deal, but alas it was not, and what hurts even more is that this was supposed to be a gift for a loved one who loves the show and wanted this limited edition. Now I’ll have to wait even longer to get them the real thing.
