Easy to use and does the job. Takes a little to get used to how to get a good flare but just a little practice and you should be good. I may have gone a little overboard with my practice lol. Worked on every install so far with no problems. Definitely recommend.

I bought this thinking it would have the adapters for double flaring, however it does not. The yoke is just a hair too short to properly space the line, and fit an adapter (I found one elsewhere) in between. I'm giving this a high rating because it does work exactly as advertised (it flares tubing), and is a very sturdy tool. I also like the wing nut design. But I wouldn't hold out hope of doing any double flares with it, even if you do find an adapter. I would only use it on low pressure lines, as single flared brake lines are dangerous.

A Little Clumsy and Offset. But Does The Job for The Price.

It appears to be well made and easy to use and, though , I've only used it a couple of times , it did the job no fuss ,no muss. Obviously I can't speak to it's durability ,but it's the kind of tool that doesn't wear out , and in my opinion , I expect it will be around for as long as copper pipe is used for plumbing.

I was looking for a new pipe flare tool. The ones at my local hardware store just did not seen very strong. I have purchased tools in the past from Amazon and was always very satisfied with the quality. This flare tool I received from Amazon is very heavy and strong, nothing like the ones at my local hardware store . If you are looking for some specific tool try Amazon, You will not be disappointed in the quality or the price. And as always super fast shipping.

Flare tool is of decent quality and worked fairly well. I had to really crank the jaws down to keep it from slipping, however this is a good trade off from aggressive jaws that damage the pipe. I was able to flare steel pipe with ease. Works great for transmission lines.

I am not a plumber but I was replacing a section of copper line when putting in a new water heater. I’ve never done this before, but it seemed simple enough. The key seems to be to Take Your Time, this thing will make the flares Just Right, if you’re deliberate. Don’t know when I’ll need it again, but the price of it saved me from having to pay someone else. It’s well worth it.

Die is undersized for HVAC 3/8" copper tubing, as others have suggested. This might be fine for some other applications, but if you're working with a few hundred dollars worth of high-pressure refrigerant, you might want something better. On the upside, shipping was quick.
