These are good on salads, and after a couple orders the company still gets it right
My grocery store at home has discontinued carrying any of the vegetarian, fake, crunchy "bacon" bits (preferring to carry 10 varieties of real bacon bits), and so I've started ordering these, 6 bottles at a time, so I have them at home for my salads. Turns out I don't mind having a stash in the cupboard... Covid maybe has turned me into a hoarder. I love them on a crunchy salad or a baked potato. I don't see much difference between the apple wood flavor and the normal, basic flavor I used to get, they are both salty and smoky and good, but if you concentrate you can tell. Several other reviews have complained that they are getting the wrong thing when they order these, like one bottle instead of six. I have never had that problem, when I order them I get my six bottles in two days just like Amazon sends everything. So I don't think you should hesitate to order these because you're worried about that. Maybe they've fixed whatever the problem was

Bacon bits got really expensive like everything else. These are great and a great price.

Great Deal, Depending on the Price
TASTE: Very good, slightly smoky taste that goes well in different dishes (homemade bacon ranch dressing, pasta salad, loaded baked potato). I prefer the Applewood Smoked to any of McCormick’s other bacon bit flavors. It’s not overpowering, yet adds a delicious additional flavor to whatever you’re adding it to. PRICE: When I bought two boxes of these, they were priced about $8.50 for each of the two 6-pack, so a wonderful deal over my local Walmart (2.18/ea). Once I ran out, I wanted to purchase more but saw the price had more than doubled to about $18.35, which gave me a hearty laugh before moving on. I’m happy to see the price has been lowered ($11.31/$1.88ea as if this review), which is still better deal per bottle than Walmart’s $2.37/bottle), so I’d definitely purchase again at that price point.
