Copic Classic Marker Set, 72-Colors, Set B

After watching a fashion illustrator on Instagram, I just had to head to the front of the line and get these Copic Markers. They are pricey but dang it I am worth it. Only thing is, in my unbridled enthusiasm, I purchased the Classics instead of the Sketch line. I would have preferred the brush instead of the broad tip. Not the end of the world. I am happy to suffer for my art. Each color offered is beautiful and makes whatever I am drawing that much better. Or so I like to think. I used Sharpies for years but Copic is definitely a different kettle of fish. I do plan, once I sell some more blood (j/k), to get the rest of their colors but in the sketch line. I love that these are refillable and have replacement tips available. The sets are great but could be cost prohibitive which if that is the case, one can always buy them by the single. But look around and price check everywhere because you might just find yourself a bargain, relatively speaking.

Copics are the best alcohol markers.

These markers are fantastic. The ink is high quality, they’re refillable. Huge range of colors. They bleed like crazy, but so do all alcohol markers. A lot of people like the sketch version of the copic markers, with the brush nib. These are different- they have a chisel tip and then a smaller nib. I have both sketch and classic and I’m not sure which one I prefer. These hold more ink than the sketch markers, and they feel juicier, so I prefer them for filling in large areas with color. Also for drawing with finer lines.

Copic markers are dependable and the plastic caps match the ink colors more than other markers.

The markers came in good condition, but the case was badly broken. They were not the style of Copic markers my kiddo needed, but this was my fault as a marker novice. My kiddo needed Copic Sketch markers for college design classes. These are not Copic Sketch markers. They are Copic Classic markers. For those who are looking for Sketch (one medium-broad chisel end and one brush end), these are not those. These have one standard broad chisel (wider than the Sketch and feels more firm) end and one fine-tip end (not a brush end). Looks like you can purchase brush replacement nibs that fit them, but I am not sure that they are the same size brush nibs as the Sketch nibs. One other difference is that Copic Classic markers don't come in all the colors that are available in Copic Sketch. The Classics are available in 214 colors, while the Sketch are available in 356 colors. These are beautiful, high-quality markers, though, and my kiddo decided to keep them to experiment with the Copic air brush kit and for other types of art. They have even made use of the fine tip on them already for some detail to match the Sketch colors used in their fashion designs.

As the old saying goes, you truly do get what you pay for!!! These are the absolute best and worth every penny!!

I have Copic Ciao, Copic Sketch and now the Copic Classic sets. The classic set has wonderful nibs that will get into tight spots and the color range is spectacular.

You need to be very serious about your art to spend this much on pens. My son is and he says these are the best colouring pens he has ever had, then again I paid for them not him! Brilliant quality if you can justify the cost to yourself.
