Check engine light came on and after a diagnostic check it was determined that it was something in the EVAP system. The purge valve was the easiest to access so I went after that first. Checked the big box auto supply stores in the area and the ones that had one wanted $45.00. Checked on line and got one for $19.00. In my case the replacement was simple. Once installed I plugged the code reader back in and erased the fault code and the check engine light went out and has stayed out. Probably got lucky but was delighted it worked out the way it did.

Worked great for our 2009 Chevy Traverse. We were having problems starting after putting gas in the car. It didn't take long to change and it was easy. You do need a 10mm bolt. The only thing that was different on our vehicle was where the bolt placement was and the way it slid through where the bolt holds it. A lot of other Purge Valve Solenoid have a different way of attaching the bolt on the side.This was very close to ours being a different way to attach thebolt,but if your old bolt is still good, then you can just use it. After installing it, our car hasn't had any trouble starting after putting gas in it. It apparently is a problem a lot of people have had with Chevy Traverses. I happened to stumble upon the articles and read about it and wasn't very hard to change at all.

Auto parts some time you get wrong parts. Although you have the Vehicle information in the system.

The good 'ol check engine light was on for our 2008 Saturn Vue and the ODB scanner said to replace the purge valve solenoid. The local parts store didn't have any in stock so we ordered from Amazon and got the part quickly. It installed and fit perfectly as a replacement for the old one. We cleared the codes and were happy.Three months later and the check engine light is back on and when we checked the valve for proper operation it was stuck open. Reading the others reviews I am glad to see that we weren't the only ones who got crappy solenoid valves.I would avoid this manufacturer and go with an AC Delco OEM unit. A few dollars more but works like it is supposed to.

Part came on time, it was easy enough to install by yourself, works perfect, no more issues with the car and now I'm happy☺..
