How can I tell if an unopened can or bag of cat or dog food is still good?

The datecode on our plastic bags is located on the left gusset, near the 4 or 5-digit SKU number, toward the bottom of the bag. The datecode on our medium and large bags will be located on the top of the bag, generally the front flap.

How should I store my cat or dog’s dry food?

Bags of dry Science Diet, Healthy Advantage and Prescription Diet cat or dog food should be stored in a cool, dry environment under 100°F (38°C).

Excellent food

My boy Bolder, has suffered allergies for several years. That along with struggling to eat the dry food led me to searching for a different kind of food for him. Easy on Tummies. Great Diet for the Sensitive Pups

Perfect for sensitive tummies! We've added a couple of family pups to our pack and they have sensitive eating issues. Adding this wet, as well as some dry in this formula and a little rice and chicken have kept their systems happy. One pup has an ulcer so any food change and life changes can cause some big stress. This food seems to keep everything good and balanced!

MIA'S YUMMY NOM NOM'S RETURN! <3

My Mini SharPei, Mia, LOVES Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin Turkey & Rice Stew Wet Food (1/4-1/2 portion of a can with every meal) mixed in with her dry special diet food and a bit of fresh baked chicken cut up all nice-nice.Mia started experiencing belly issues at meal time no matter what carefully researched and chosen brand, portion, mixture we gave her. She REALLY didn't seem to enjoy or properly digest anything. Meal time was NOT enjoyable!However, we finally found Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin and discussed it with her veterinarian. Her response completely changed and, once again, Mia was (and continues to be) super excited for brekkie, lunch/snack, and dinner time! Thankfully, she no longer has digestion issues, acts lethargic or experiences nausea/vomiting, etc.,It's AWESOME to see her get excited for meals and enjoy eating alongside us. We're all SUPER GRATEFUL! Thank you!

Damaged cans

Three were really bad dented and several were just a little dented. My only problem is... Is how long have they been dented if the insides of the cans have been damaged I risk the contents being contaminated.

Worth the cost

My maltipoo loves it. It has a delicious smell, like homemade (nearly). She has good solid poops twice a day and eats the whole portion. She is 8+ pounds. I give her a half can for breakfast and half for dinner. I don't give dry for meals, but she nibbles on some that I leave out. She is a rescue from our Humaine Society. They exclusively feed Science Diet so I didn't want to change her diet. I'm really happy I kept it as is. I've had three standard poodles and they all had food sensitives. I'm sorry I didn't know about this great food then.

Sensitive pup approves.

My puppy loves this food, currently use it as a mixer with dry food BUT honestly he would eat it by itself if he could. No stomach problems and his skin issues are nonexistent.
