Fender Downtown Express Bass Multi-Effect Pedal

The Fender Downtown Express has everything I need — Compression (with monitor LED), EQ, Overdrive, and an XLR Out. It’s beautifully designed and well crafted, as one would expect from a brand like Fender. I love the gold finish and backlit knobs. I’ve been looking for a DI to replace my SansAmp (which didn’t cut it for me). I was initially considering a Darkglass pedal but they’re so expensive. The Downtown Express is priced extremely well considering the quality and capabilities of this pedal. I love the sound of the overdrive. it doesn’t have a blend knob, which I thought would be a dealbreaker, but I’ve been I’m able to dial in a fat and crispy drive tone without losing the low end. I keep the drive knob down pretty low. However, it can get pretty distorted if you need it to. For my needs, I wouldn’t ever turn it past noon (a little goes a long way). The compression does exactly what I need it to. I never turn it off. The sustain is massive. I don’t mess with the EQ too much, sometimes I’ll boost the bass or the mids depending on the context. I usually run it through my Fender Rumble amp or use it as a DI at church. I would definitely recommend this pedal.

For years my go-to was the Sans Amp Bass Driver. While that DI is still a great option, I needed a DI for a new church bass rig and wanted some compression and overdrive all within a single pedal. I discovered this pedal and decided to give it a try. It is amazing in every way. It’s super versatile and extremely easy to get a variety of great tones. Very clean, very quiet (no noise) and super easy to use. Great bass DI!

I am a bass player on a worship team and this bass pedal has exactly what I need without having to build a pedalboard. The EQ is great, the Overdrive has a nice tone to it, the Compression is good but is not the best. This product is for sure worth your money!

This is a great all in one Bass pedal. + EQ is fantastic! + Overdrive is surprisingly versatile + The output connections are super handy, especially the XLR for mixers. - Compressor sounds good, but it's super noisy. - There's a loss of signal strength on he regular TS output, can be fixed with a buffer pedal on the input jack. I use a Polytune 3 mini tuner that has some buffer. I do recommend this pedal, I think the small issues are minor compared to how massive your bass will sound even without using compression.

I like this unit. It is constructed nicely. I typically play Guitar, so my perspective differs. I only play Bass with my Church Praise Band. It would be nicer if this unit had a built in tuner. It does have a jack that can go to a tuner. It would be nicer if it had an effects loop. (That is from a Guitar Players Perspective. Tones are nice.

There was a big amount of promissed tone with this pedal, sadly though the DI and through a ampeg 210. It lacked the tone and presence of a trully dedicated eq. Honestly for the money a sans amp will always win.

The compressor is ok, nothing special. I was expecting some growling vintage, it’s doing fine but very blurred. The overdrive is totally out of my control, I don’t know how to fix something I want. And the noise…… I don’t like it very much.

アギュラー氏の設計ということだからなのか？絶妙に効きの良いイコライザーと使いやすいコンプレッサーを搭載していてベース音の存在感が増す感じがしてこれだけでも使う価値はあります♫ オーバードライブの歪み感は部分的に使うには良いと思いますが原音のアタック感が薄まってしまう気がして掛けっぱなしには向かないと感じました(←個人の感想です)

Es un preamp cumplidor y con su propio carácter. La gente de la marca Aguilar trabajó junto con Fender para su desarrollo, según el vídeo del canal de YT de Fender. Yo lo uso como caja directa y voy a consola, me ahorra usar un amplificador y mi espalda lo agradece. Gran construcción y el diseño es precioso.

Este pedal podría haber sido perfecto. Tiene todo lo necesario para el bajo. Sin embargo, es decepcionante porque el compresor silba en cualquier configuración que no sea la mínima. Una gran pena, lo devolví.

Very very good for Fender and non-Fender Bass. Only suggestion would be to have a power cord included in the set!
