pleasantly surprised
i was very surprised when i opened the box. The pellets looked really really small. there was one that was a good size but the rest were small. I did actually measure them and they were all more than 1 1/4 inches or whatever size they said in the advertisement. I wanted to be able to "see" stuff and i just did not imagine it being in those little pellets. we opened the largest today and it was amazing. my son did not want to do it so I did with a home school spanish class of eight kids. long story........... in any case, I had their attention for 20 minutes. It was very very interesting seeing what looked like a hip socket with a ball joint that fit in, and i thought there were claws but my son thought they were teeth. We later pulled out a skull that had the two "claws" right under the large front teeth..............my son was right they were large teeth. In any case, little rib bones and lots of interesting stuff. well worth the money and we only opened one. I would have paid the money just for the experience of opening that one.

Very cool but don’t get it wet
This was such a fun idea that I thought would be nostalgic from a field trip when I was a child. I wanted to gift it to my nephew for his birthday, and I tested it out with one of the 6 pellets first. We did make the mistake of following the instructions to wet it first, and that was just vile. The grass smell almost made me vomit. I printed off some owl pellet bone charts and still gave it to my nephew with gloves and instructions to not wet it. He freaking LOVED it!!! The scientist in him lit up, and he really enjoyed learning about anatomy (age 4). Pretty cool!

Not disappointed!
Bought these for my nephew’s birthday, hoping there would be at least a few bones in them. He was very excited at what we found! Lots of intact skulls, a pelvis, full tail, and a bunch of random long bones. Would definitely recommend. I’m now considering buying some for myself!

Perfect Science Experiment
Great product, all sizes came. My nephew is a vegetarian so he was a little leary but after I explained everything to him he enjoyed the science of the dissection. They didnt smell at all and we got quite a few bones, skulls from even the smaller pellets.

So exciting for the kids.
I bought these for a group of girls to dissect. Some thought they didn't want to at first but once they got going and were finding bones from small rodents and trying to figure out what it could be that the owl had eaten. Good price for and exciting and education product.

Lots of fun!
The kids had an amazing time looking through the pallets, the four year lost interest but auntie ended up taking over her's. We have a lot of rodent skulls and bones, as well as one very special bird skull. This was a very fun experience and will be ordering again to see what mysteries we will find!
