SOLIGT Triple Scale Hydrometer and Glass Test Jar for Wine, Beer, Mead & Cider - ABV, Brix and Gravity Test Kit

Well, this is my 3rd one so I can honestly say I really like it! I have broken 2 tubes so far and hopefully there wont be a 3rd. These did not break from normal usage. I dropped one onto concrete and the other broke when I tossed my degasser/ mixer attachment for a drill onto my drying table without thinking. The build quality is very nice and obviously I would buy again!

WORKS AS IS SHOULD.

My first run on several batches over a day. I'll assume it's accurate - it seemed to measure the SG of my distilled water at 1.00 by line of sight. I make fruit wine and cider for vinegar production so it's not an essential tool but it's very nice to be more exacting when trying to set up to get a potential 12% ABV for the wine/cider step. If only measuring acidity was this simple.For the money, it's a great value. The measuring tube is sturdy and stable. It's reasonably easy to clean - not as easy to dry. The hydrometer itself is easy enough to read and simple to clean. The whole set is glass though and likely rather fragile. The box it comes in is very protective though I may find/make a wooden box sized to hold the inserts this came with.Overall: well pleased.

I dont really see how this could be improved. Its all glass and for the price that is unbeatable.Also, the flask is alot narrower than regular hydrometer flasks which makes it so you can use less liquid to measure.Will buy again.

The hydrometer isn’t really different than others I have used. What makes this set stand out is the glass sample cylinder that is provided. It is only as big as it needs to be, therefore reducing the size sample required. That means less beer wasted on testing.

Fantastic looking setup but unfortunately very fragile. Never even used it before the hydrometer shattered. Bottom broke when I dropped it about an inch into the empty cylinder. I think the graduated cylinder being made of glass is a bad idea for durability since it’s so unforgiving.
