I am so happy with this purchase of Saffron. Each little thread is in perfect condition. I did not know the difference between good saffron and excellent. I now realize the difference. This seller is spot on with the description of this Saffron. I purchased three separate small tins . I had decided to purchase one for myself and the other two will be gifts for my Persian girlfriends. Saffron was completely unknown to me 10 years ago until I was working with my beautiful friend on a game show and we brought in our lunches daily to save time running back and forth from the crew tent . My friend always had this beautiful golden tea and I finally asked her what it was because it looked like apple juice. The next day she brought me my own container of this liquid gold. I am now obsessed with the subtle flavor of this as my daily tea. I was also taught how to infuse dishes such as rice with Barberries and Saffron. This is a beautiful dish and it smells sooooo good and I found that I make this often. The difference with this saffron from this seller is amazing . I can use less saffron threads and get that same sparkling color and the fragrance is well bodied. My journey with Saffron has been love at first sight and now I have found the most fresh, most color and flavorful saffron on Amazon. I don’t have to have people send me the rich and well priced Saffron from Glendale, California. I now know exactly where to purchase my personal indulgence in this incredible herb. ( I don’t know if it’s a herb or spice) Less is more with this particular seller’s Afghan Saffron. I do not care at all for Spanish saffron because of the difference in flavor and fragrance. However, if I were to try Spanish Saffron again, I would definitely purchase from this seller again since they absolutely do know their products. The tin that it came in is extra nice as well! It has a screw on top which is perfect for my purse when I want to add saffron to my hot tea at work. I am hooked! In. Very good way.

WOW, WHAT A YIELD! This is not my first purchase. My previous purchases were amazing, but this batch is something else. This current crop that I received is just...the threads are HUGE, the aroma is exquisite, and I cannot wait to make saffron rice tonight with an extract. I might have to purchase some more now...don't sleep on this batch, chef!

This is an updated review which I (independently) decided to do on my own, without coercion and/or offer of compensation of any sort- After gathering more data on the product and this company, I concluded the product I received may possibly been affected due to storage facility issues, which may have likely affected it's flavor and/or potency. Also among other verifiable proofs, the product WAS NOT SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM DIVINE HEALING (i.e. the company's warehouse) which makes the notion of storage affect a probable cause. For the amount of product in the package, after thorough research, I understand that good quality Saffron is not cheap and of course, IT'S CALCULATED BY WEIGHT NOT BY VOLUME. But taking everything else into consideration with regards to this company/brand, customer service experience has been quite above and beyond standard levels. They sincerely care about their customers and thoughtfully address concerns; they're evidently also very passionate about the overall brand and provide honest responses to product inquiries. Thus the customer have the sole right to make an informed decision regarding the product, customer service etc. In my opinion, this company will strive and thrive as a result of it's HONESTY, TRANSPARENCY, CUSTOMER SERVICE, and PROFESSIONALISM, which unfortunately is quite rare.
