Spektrum XBC100 Smart Battery Checker & Servo Driver for RC: SPMXBC100, Black

Works great for testing battery's and servos.

While the XBC100 is a wonderful tool it is inaccurate to say as in the first review that you can't update smart batteries with the s2200, s2100 or in fact other chargers in the Spektrum family. The only charger I have found so far that dosen't have the Smart Battery update function is the little s120. If you have older Spektrum chargers or an older XBC100 all you need do is update them with the latest free firmware and you have the ability to update the smart batteries. In addition not all smart batteries will update. Some batteries don't have updates available as yet. You can tell this by going to the battery update function and it fails to highlight in green. No green + no update available. I didn't read all the posts so if someone has already pointed this out I apologize. However the fist post is incorrect!

Works well, if you are buying this I assume you know what it is. The included screen protector though is trash. We cut one to size from a generic tablet. It doesn't really need one, but I toss it in my box and would like it not to get chewed up.

awesome battery checker, easy to use and read, bright screen and seems tough enough for regular use.

I haven’t used it extensively yet, but it appears to be a nice product with valuable features. With that said, the touch screen is plastic and scratches easily. They include a “screen protector” but it’s low quality. Also, the protector is cut to the exact dimensions of the screen and there’s no wiggle room when applying it. It has to be applied PRECISELY in place or it won’t seal properly. I ended up throwing the protector in the trash because after multiple attempts at applying it, it looked subpar. I think the screen and protector can be improved.

this is one of the best , i have two of them , the price was almost half of what i paided for the first one ,a no brained .

This is an amazing tool to have on hand while out with the rcs. Not only can you use it to change parameters on spektrum smart batteries, but you can also check any rc lipo you may have on hand. With the spektrum smart batteries you do get a lot of extra features like temp monitoring and updating. Yes, you read that right, you can update your spektrum smart lipo battery using this battery checker. 10/10 buy it on sale or at retail. Yes it’s expensive, yes it’s worth it. Included screen protector is kinda cheap though. Happy to report, it did come with G2 software updates installed already!
