Notting Hill: Music From The Motion Picture

How could the movie with the line,"I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking to be loved." not have an awesome sound track? And then, Julia Robert's character forgives Hugh Grant's daft character for sending the goddess with the great line on her way! JEEZE!! But I digress from the music. She by Elvis Costello is the reason I purchased the soundtrack and waited too long for the shipping. Every woman with breath wants to be that "she".... Both versions of "Ain't no Sunshine When She's Gone" are great. "Gimmie Some Lovin" from the chase scene where the freaky sister's boyfriend uses his body as a human traffic cone is a real shot of awesome adrenaline. "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart " is by Al Green, enough said. Even Will and Anna theme song is pretty. The only negative has nothing to do with the CD itself. The shipping was ridiculously slow.

Love the songs from Nottinghill. Have it on a loop. What else can I say.

I must have seen this movie a hundred times. I'm not a big Julia Roberts fan but I like her in this movie. She played off Hugh Grant's familiar British wit and he's always good to look at! My favorite line is "I'm just a girl standing in front of a boy...." I won't tell you the rest - you need to see the movie if you haven't already.

Lyrics in movie made me inspired to get the soundtrack. Lyrics melt my heart.

This is one of my favorite movies and the soundtrack will take you along through the movie. And, was delivered ahead of time!

This is another one of those films which I always, without fail, cry at the ending. It is also, one of the few films where I truly adore the soundtrack. The last soundtrack I loved this much, was "Cut Throat Island",and I had to search for a year to find a copy of that flick in, of all places, Great Britain. However, I regress. I guess I have listened to Notting Hill about a zillion times. The best track is "She" by Elvis Costello. A haunting tune. This music touches my heart and feeds my soul! It doesn't't get much better than this!

My husband and I love the music. We play it often and watch the movie repeatedly. I just found the the CD soundtrack in the bottom of my car today and played it again. Perhaps it's some of the old music, but I found the music lifting and renewing. After almost 50 years of marriage my husband never fails to surprise me. I ignored the movie for so long til I set down to watch it with him. I love it.
