When on offer, absolutely worth it. Sound very good, but not the best.
When I purchased, it was on offer and considerably lower than the original price, and for the price I paid it is brilliant. There is nothing better. The set up was all right. Would have been nice for USB Type-C power support, a more recent Bluetooth connection (it's 4.2), and NFC, but it's well made, covers a broad spectrum when set up further out of the box (the basic EQ setting is naff), I am hearing parts of music I've never heard before, so very pleased right now. Would have gone for black if in stock, but only silver was and to be fair, I'm very glad I did go for silver. It's discreet and stylish. The only real issue I have is that the sound over auxiliary is much quieter than Bluetooth, so if connected by the 3.5mm input you have to turn the volume all the way up, but then when switching back to Bluetooth, it's then way too loud.In short, well worth the price when around a third of the original selling price, but not worth it otherwise. Look elsewhere for more modern specs and great sound if paying a lot more.

A good bluetooth speaker - if you can get it for the right price
I like this speaker, but it's for my very specific use case - it might not be for you.I wanted a Bluetooth speaker to use with my laptop in my living room, and this is great for that. There aren't actually many mid-price Bluetooth speakers designed for room-filling sound, and this fitted the bill. It looks smart, is reassuringly heavy, and build quality is excellent.A word of warning, the Immersive sound mode - which is on by default - sounds awful and seperates the sound in a really odd way. I do wonder if other reviewers who were not so enamoured of the sound quality left it on. Anyway, one button press gets rid of it and then you have a really decent sounding speaker. It was slightly finicky to pair the Bluetooth the first time, which is slightly troubling, but it has been rock solid ever since.Others have noted that the Smart functionality is hit and miss, but I am not really using that - it is technically setup on my Google Home network, but for me the key functionality is Bluetooth. I have no interest in the 360 sound function, as I don't subscribe to anything which uses it.Final thing of course, is the price. £300 is way too expensive for this speaker. At the time of writing, the price seems to be yoyo-ing up and down on Amazon on an almost daily basis, with the dark and light coloured versions being different prices from each other as well. I got this for around £185 and for that price, I am very pleased with what I got for my money. If it's at or near full price, I really wouldn't recomend you buy it, wait for a good deal.

Nice neat piece of kit.
Well built, very good quality for it's shape. Cannot be reactivated from stand by without physically doing it at the speaker would be my main criticism.

Rather unsatisfactory.
This speaker sounds less good than my Echo Studio. It's compatibility with Alexa is minimal, and Alexa cannot control it. However, it does have chromecast and handles streamed 360 format tracks well.

Good functionality and sound, but a bit cumbersome and not many audio features for the price
For me, the biggest selling point of this speaker is it’s stylish design. The fabric 360 mesh, copper/bronze tweeter accents and hexagonal design are a real treat for the eyes and it fits in nicely anywhere I place it. Keep in mind though that it is an active speaker so requires mains power to function, definitely not a speaker for using outside! The speaker also has a really decent sound quality that focuses more on the low-end with a rich bass tone, but isn’t horribly unbalanced like some speakers. It can also play at very loud volumes to be able to use for most events and occasions. Out of the box it comes with its ‘360’ audio setting switched on, which may have more use in a multi-speaker setup, but for me turning it off sounded much more balanced tonally. Though for the price, I would have expected more audio and eq options rather than just ‘360 on/off’.This leads me to it’s largest drawback, the price, it’s a really big investment just to have as an everyday speaker for playing music through your phone, its 360 selling point doesn’t really suit it for that and seems a bit gimmicky. But to have these as a stereo surround sound system or multi-room system would be astronomically expensive and completely not worth it when compared to other available speakers. The sound is good, but not that good!Connecting to the speaker through bluetooth is an incredibly easy experience, with my phone being found in seconds every time I tried it. But setting up the speaker for wi-fi was quite a cumbersome process as well, having to battle to get it set up to my router, then with my Alexa device, and then having to download a separate app for playing music through my phone over the wi-fi, rather than having to connect via bluetooth every time. None of this process was overly user-friendly and I’m not the largest fan of the Sony app that you are stuck with unless you use bluetooth. However, I will say that since setting everything up I’ve had zero issues with anything and it works as it should, so it’s worth it if you can get past that initial hump.Ultimately, for the price I think it’s a bit on the expensive side, if you're after something that is more fashion (with great sound quality) over function, then this is perfect, but for the price of a multi-room speaker, I think there are better options out there.

superb sound
It's hard to believe that a single speaker can put out such a good sound. Decent bass, and all round great speaker. It's reasonably compact, though you wouldn't want to carry it around much. Links up to bluetooth and wifi, so you can connect it up to a phone or laptop with no worries. Has to be heard to be believed!
